Ondine Escape news

As you know Ondine Escape has been involved in local conservation and education projects from the moment we began. Also involving local biologists in both Ondine Earth and Ondine Water services, which has proven to be a fantastic part of this business.

We started with our own Marine Life Discovery presentations on local marine ecosystems which we use with our diving clients, this was followed by the construction of our PADI distinctive specialty “Shark DIscovery”, a one day course for certified divers held at Palma Aquarium. From this evolved the production of our first short film “Behind Blue Glass” with UK underwater filmaker David Diley. For those of you who were somehow involved in the film, participants, interviewers, possible participants and collaborators I am happy to say that we are very close to the release date. David has the DVD cover designed, subtitles are being placed as we speak, as soon as David has it all together we can then announce a screening date.

With a couple of new conservation projects in the pipeline, we have decided to develop a Conservation department within Ondine Escape S.L.

Our view on conservation is that it needs to be kept positive, local, science based and involve as many people who live here in Mallorca as possible. If you have friends and family that you think will be interested in local conservation projects then please forward them this email.

We will be announcing a new and very exciting project in the coming weeks, so if you are a certified diver and like elasmobraches then this one is for you!!!

Many thanks and we are looking forward to helping protect and improve our local marine ecosytems with you all,

Brad Robertson & Bea Esparza
